The following new titles have been added to the electronic books available on Pubmed: Stereotaxic atlas of the brain of the zebra finch ; Dynamics of cancer / Frank;  Immunology and evolution of infectious disease / Frank. Two other new ebook titles have been added to the collection : Kaplan & Sadock’s comprehensive textbook of psychiatry, available from R2, and Diagnostic and statistical manual (DSM-IV), available from Statref.

 

Several volumes in the Rapid review series have been added to the library’s ”Blue Books” section: Behavioral science (WB 18.2 B417 2007); Biochemistry (QU 18.2 P389b2 2007); Gross and developmental anatomy (QS 18.2 M823g2 2007); Microbiology and immunology (QW 18.2 R815ma2 2007); Neuroscience (WL 18.2 W547n 2007) ; Pathology (QZ 18.2 G626p2 2007); Pharmacology (QV 18.2 P348p2 2007). Several new volumes in the Pretest series have also been received: Microbiology (QW 18.2 M625.8 2007); Anatomy, histology, & cell biology (QS 18.2 A535.3 2007); Pharmacology (QV 18.2 P536 2007); Pathology (QZ 18.2 P296.5 2007). New volumes have also been received in the NMS series (National medical series for independent study): Emergency medicine (WB 18.2 N738 2007); Psychiatry (WM 18.2 P974a5 2008)

 

New/updated reference books include: Turabian’s manual for writers of research papers, theses, and dissertations (Ref Z253 T929m7 2007); DRI, dietary reference intakes (Ref  QU 145 D779 2007) ; APA dictionary of psychology (Ref BF 31 A639 2007) ; Dictionary of eye terminology (Ref WW 13 C345d5 2007)

The textbook list for incoming students was received and the Reserve collection was updated as needed to include these texts.  Two new titles added were The spirit catches you and you fall down (WS 385 F145s 1997) and Bakerman’s ABC’s of interpretive laboratory data (QY 25 B168b4 2002). Other new reserve books include Campbell-Walsh urology (WJ 100 C190 2007), Greenspan’s basic & clinical endocrinology (WK 102 G815 2007), Basic & clinical pharmacology (QV 4 B309.5 2007) ; Thompson & Thompson genetics in medicine (QZ 50 N975t7 2007).  Two basic texts on End-Note were also added to the Reserve Collection: Manuscript writing using Endnote and Word (Z 1001 E23m 2005) and Endnote 1-2-3 easy! (Z1001 A277e 2007)
