The mission of the
Health Sciences Library/LRC/Telehealth Services is to provide
access to the informational resources and services necessary
to fulfill the teaching, research, and patient care functions
of Loyola University Chicago. To achieve its mission, the
Health Sciences Library/LRC/Telehealth Services fosters the
advancement of professional health care practice, education
and research, and consumer health by:
GOAL 1: Assuring access and linkage to the world’s information
in biomedicine and health related areas.
GOAL 2: Exploring, evaluating and promoting effective utilization
of quality information and knowledge.
GOAL 3: Providing education in the principles and techniques
of information management toward excellence in patient care
and lifelong learning.
GOAL 4: Preserving and enhancing access to retrospective and
historical material through cooperative arrangements and retention
of primary resources.
GOAL 5: Creating a stimulating and synergistic setting for
intellectual growth.
GOAL 6: Providing communications links to foster “anytime/anywhere”
access to information.
