Searching CINAHL on EbscoHost To start your search. Select CINAHL (EBSCO) in the quick links section at the bottom of the homepage. Select "EBSCOhost Web". Click on "CINAHL Plus with Full Text". To build your search Click "CINAHL Headings" to pick concepts to search. Enter each search term and select the appropriate CINAHL heading by clicking the checkbox next to the heading and then clicking the "Add" button. Use the "AND OR NOT" dropdown to connect each term. Click the "Explode" checkbox to include subordinate headings. Click the "Major Concept" checkbox if you want the heading to be the main topic in an article. Click the "Search" button when done. Use the Refine Search tab to further refine your search. Limit by publication year. Limit by age group [infant, newborn]. Limit by publication type [research]. Limit by journal subsets [core nursing journals]. Click the "Search" button to re-execute the search. Use the folder to select citations from the set retrieved. Click on the Add to Folder icon to save citations for printing. Click on "Folder has Items" to look at the selected citations. FULL TEXT articles in CINAHL Full text articles in CINAHL appear as full text in HTML format or PDF format. To print an aticle look for the icon (for PDFformat) or ""HTML Full Text" and click on it.
