Access

The Health Sciences Library is open to the public Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Access to the Library on weekends and after 5 p.m. weekdays requires proper identification. Patrons must stop and show a proper ID at the circulation desk at these times.
Proper identification includes:

• Loyola University
• Hines VA Hospital
• Madden Hospital
• Loyola Health Sciences Library Special Access Cards.

All visitors who wish to use the library on weekends or after 5 p.m. on weekdays must fill out an Access Application Form. Access Cards do NOT give reserve book or charge privileges to the visitor. Upon request, give visitor the Access Card Application Form to fill out. Ask to see some form of identification and make a photocopy (driver’s license, student ID, or work ID).

The Associate Dean will determine justification for Access Cards. The Administrative Secretary will issue an Access Card and mail it to the patron. She will also type the information on the Library Access Registration Form.
