Human Genome

Coriel Cell Repositories - Coriel Institute for Medical Research provide essential research reagents to the scientific community by establishing, verifying, maintaining, and distributing cells cultures and DNA derived from cell cultures. These collections, supported by funds from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and several foundations, are extensively utilized by research scientists around the world.

Ensembl Genome Browser - Project Ensembl: European Bioinformatics Institute & Sanger Institute

Entrez - National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)

Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications of the Human Genome Project - an online gateway to a variety of genetic resources by the Kansas University Medical Center.

Genetics Society of America - The Genetics Society of America was founded in 1931 and includes over 4,000 scientists and educators interested in the field of genetics. The Society promotes the communication of advances in genetics through publication of the journal GENETICS, and by sponsoring scientific meetings focused on key organisms widely used in genetic research.

Human Genome Resources - National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)

National Information Resource on Ethics and Human Genetics - Funded by the National Human Genome Research Institute and the National Institutes of Health, the Genetics and Ethics Database now contains over 25,000 citations, many with abstracts or links to fulltext, to literature on ethical, legal and social implications of genetics research and practice.

Oncogenomics Normal Tissue Database - The Oncogenomics Section of the Pediatric Oncology Branch announces the release of a high-density gene expression database derived from 42,000 clone cDNA microarrays containing 18,927 unique genes for 158 normal human samples from 19 different organs of 30 different individuals.

UCSC Genome Bioinformatics - This site contains the reference sequence and working draft assemblies for a large collection of genomes. It also shows the CFTR (cystic fibrosis) region in 13 species and provides a portal to the ENCODE project.

World Health Organization - The Genetic Resource Centre - This site provides an overview of the issues and concerns around genomics and public health and, in particular, addresses the ethical, legal and social implications (ELSI) of genomics.
